Balmoral is a beautiful and enjoyable community of 179 single family estate homes, generally on one to five acre parcels. Nestled near historic old town Clifton, our community is one of the few hidden enclaves of protected forests and pastoral fields remaining in Fairfax County. Nevertheless, Balmoral is close to many major shopping areas, restaurants, desireable destinations and commuter routes.
Location, location, location! About 25 miles west of Washington, DC, Balmoral sits just over a mile northwest of the town proper of Clifton, about four miles south of Centreville, and Bull Run River almost provides a complete western border. The neighborhood comprises over 1,000 acres of historic countryside surrounded by Fairfax County parkland, horse farms, and the Westfields Golf Course.
The community is vibrant and sociable. Here, neighbors are friends, both among adults and among children. Community cohesiveness is valued, and promoted by an active social committee, communications committee, the wine club, bunko groups, book clubs, a welcoming committee, and other periodic community or privately hosted events. This includes the annual community picnic, casino night, progressive dinners, theme parties such as Mardi Gras, Octoberfest and a Murder Mystery, Halloween parade, Fourth of July celebrations, Easter egg hunt, holiday parties, and golf outings.
If you live in Balmoral, you know already what an outstanding community it is. We hope this site will enhance your experience as a resident. Also, please feel free to tell your friends and relatives, especially from outside of this area, to browse the public portion of the website to learn about the community you call home.
If you're visiting our site because you're looking for a place to live and to raise a family, WELCOME. Please browse through our site, including our school information, to get a sense of the community, and then come visit Balmoral in person. Or contact our community leadership (see Announcements Banner above). If you do, we feel confident you will choose to make Balmoral your home too.
To those Balmoral residents returning to our website, welcome back. Chances are you'll find something new since your last visit. We are continually refining our work. We regularly update our Announcements Banner, post Community News Articles, and update information about upcoming events and community happenings.
We also wish to make it easy for information to flow. That is the purpose of this website. The more you know, the more effectively you can communicate with your community leaders and community management company about the issues that matter to you. And the more you can be engaged in and enjoy our great community. Volunteers are encouraged and new ideas are welcomed. This site is dedicated to serving and promoting the interests of all Balmoral residents, so please let us know about new ways to make it better.
